Here’s another fun & delicious treat your kids can make!
Did you know that May is National Strawberry Month? Strawberries are my little chef’s favorite food to cook with and eat. In celebration of our favorite fruit, here’s a fun little treat that’s perfect for little hands to make all on their own.
There’s nothing more beautiful that ripe, bright red strawberries. In addition to being sweet, juicy and delicious, strawberries are a great source of nutrients such as Vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants. Even when dipped, strawberries are bonafide superfoods. Also, here are a few other fun facts:
- Strawberries are the only fruit with seeds on the outside. There are an average of about 200 seeds on each berry.
- Despite it’s name, strawberries aren’t technically not berries. It’s true… technically berries have its seed on the inside of the fruit.
- Strawberries are actually members of the rose family. That’s why they smell so good!
The ingredients are simple:
5.3 oz container of Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon of honey
1/3 cup of multicolored sprinkles (or whichever color you like)

Step 1: Mix honey and Greek yogurt in a small bowl.
Step 2: Dip the bottom part of a strawberry in the yogurt mix.
Step 3: Dip the yogurt covered strawberry in small bowl of sprinkles.
Once this adorable little chef got started, she couldn’t stop. These dipped strawberries can be made with yogurt or chocolate. Perfect for parties, picnics or just an afternoon snack! Have your little chef try it at home and let us know if you loved them as much as we did.
