Kids will LOVE these easy, fun Pull Apart BBQ Chicken Sliders. Quick, delicious and a perfect mid-afternoon snack or lunch that kids can make for themselves.
It’s so funny how things happen. King’s Hawaiian saw our delicious recipe for Berrylicious French Toast Casserole where we used their round bread in the dish. They were so thrilled that they sent us this fun care package that included these cute orange sunglasses, reusable shopping bags, a bag of their sweet rolls and other fun goodies. After seeing a recipe for Pull Apart Lobster Rolls from Martha Stewart, I was inspired to try another pull apart recipe. I figured that bbq chicken may be a bit more kid-friendly than lobster but if you little chef loves lobster try the other recipe and let us know how it goes.
Both of my little chefs wanted to make this fun recipe… So they threw on their sunglasses and was ready to work!
Start by mixing shredded rotisserie chicken with your favorite barbecue sauce.
Brush melted butter on each roll. This was an easy task for my 2-year old Step Stool Chef-in-Training. To her it was a familiar task based on her extensive painting experience at pre-school. Using a pastry brush is a great way to get your littlest chefs involved in many recipes.
Finally, place the filled rolls in a toaster oven 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes. We love toaster oven recipes for little chefs because they are easier to use than larger ovens.
SOUS CHEF MOMMY TIP:Place the food in the toaster oven before heating to minimize your little chef’s exposure to heat
The sweetness of the rolls plus the savory barbecue sauce made the Pull Apart BBQ Chicken Sliders a big hit. It tasted better than I imagined! Now these little bites of heaven are in full rotation in our home.
