This has been an amazing month and all before school starts.  Recently, The Step Stool Chef was identified as a Texan with Character and featured by our local CBS station.  I always knew my little chef had a lot of character but it was great to know others could see it too.  We were flattered and delighted to have the CBS team at our home and learn about our cooking journey.

Check out the video (after the ad) and behind the scenes photos:

Texan with Character

We were interviewed by anchor/reporter Kaley O’Kelley who is a six-time Emmy-Award winning journalist and a mother of two adorable kids who love to cook as well.

Texan with CharacterDuring the interview, my little chef shared a recipe for Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze.  I think I was more nervous than my little chef but he was a pro and had a lot of  fun!

Texan with She was so nice and it was just like having a friend come to visit.  She shared pictures of her two adorable kids, a 2-year old and 3-year old, in their aprons and chef hats.

Salmon Brown Sugar GlazeEveryone was so amazed how easy the recipe was to make and boy was it delicious.  Click here for the recipe and see for yourself!

We were honored to have The Step Stool Chef to be recognized as a Texans with Character and the opportunity to share our mission of empowering kids as leaders in the kitchen.
