Happy New Year and Happy Mini Chef Monday!

Every Monday, we highlight other little chefs and their favorite kid-friendly recipes.  Today, we’re featuring our friend Trina at O’Boy! Organic who shares a great recipe for Applesauce Muffins. O’Boy! Organic’s goal is to share great organic recipes, ideas and meal plans that encourages parents to provide fresh, organic dishes to their kids.

This recipe for Applesauce Muffins is a great healthy snack that’s perfect for breakfast on a busy morning, an after school snack, or even after dinner treat. Applesauce-Muffins-logo-2--1024x853The recipe calls for your basic muffin ingredients such as flour, eggs & of course applesauce.  But the awesome part of about this recipe is that they gave it an extra nutrition boost with a Q’ia superfood oatmeal blend.  applesauce-muffins-ingredients-To make it easier for her little chef, they pre-measured all of the ingredients to focus on the mixing of all the ingredients, particularly making sure that the dry & wet ingredients are evenly combined. applesauce-muffins-mixing--1024x782The muffins turned out great and look absolutely delicious.  Click here for the recipe and more details. Applesauce-Muffins-logo-1-
