Happy Halloween from The Step Stool Chef!

We thought it would be fun to make a easy to make drink for kids just in time for Halloween.  Plus, this time of the year is a perfect chance to let kids bring out their spooky side.  This year, my little chef decided to get creative and make his own halloween punch.  You can try this exact recipe or let your little chef have fun making up their own halloween punch.

Slug Juice Halloween Punch

This recipe is so easy that my little 3-year-old Step Stool Chef-in-training wanted to get in on the action.  While making their spooky drink, they wanted to get in the Halloween spirit and decided to try on some fun costumes.

This Halloween punch can be made in 4 easy steps:

STEP 1: Add 2 scoops of Lime Sherbert in a glass.

We used a mason jar but any cup will do.  A clear glass cup will be fun so kids can see their punch from all sides.

STEP 2: Pour in 1/2 cup of Ginger Ale and 1 cup of Pineapple Juice

This was an easy job for my 3-year-old bunny fairy after her big brother Captain America poured the right amount in the measuring cup.

STEP 3: Add Green Jell-o

To give his halloween punch it’s “slug” effect, my little chef thought green jell-o would do the trick. You can make your own jell-o or simply use a ready-to-eat snack cup.  We used a sugar free lemon-lime snack cup.  Be sure to use a spoon to break up the jell-o into chunks as it will make it easier to add to the punch.

STEP 4: Add Gummy Worms

You can’t make a Slug Juice without the slugs!  My little chef knew that gummy worms would be the perfect way to top off his new Halloween punch.

The punch looked weird but it tasted super yummy.  Plus, the kids had a blast making it.  Try it for yourself and tell us what you think.
